Embrace the Twilight

Embrace the Twilight
Maggie Shayne
Paranormal Romance - 386 pages

“I could’ve lost you. I could still lose you. At any time, without warning, you’re not immortal. You don’t
age, and you won’t die of natural causes, but that’s not immortality, you can die, same as I can.”
This book has Willem Stone and Sarafina’s story. We met Sarafina in the previous book; she is Dante’s
sire/aunt. In the beginning Willem is held captive and tortured this is where he taps into a mental
connection with Sarafina. He sees into the past, which at the time is Sarafina’s present. Will believes
Sarafina is just a figment of his imagination and Sarafina believes him to be a spirit.
As fate would have it we also run into Jameson and Angelica, when Jameson hires Will to protect Amber but she takes matters into her own hands when she senses a stranger following her. With Will out of the picture, once again Frank Stiles captures Amber Lily. Frank, keeping up with his insane agenda uses Amber’s family against her, so she will be more cooperative in his experiments. We learn more about these characters and have another thrilling adventure with them. As always I’m very pleased with this series. Totally hooked on Wings in the Night series. On to the next!

Recommending My Favorites #2

This week was a busy one, so I was not able to finish reading my book. But I wanted to recommend another vampire series that I love. The Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands, a paranormal romance that I have been reading for years and I recommend them to anyone that likes reading about vampires. The Argeneau vamps are descendants from Atlantians, yes from Atlantis, because Atlantis was known for being so advanced in technology they developed nanobots to cure all diseases in the human body to keep it at its peak condition, so the nanobots fight everything including aging. The nanobots run off of blood to continue working and before Atlantis fell they would receive blood transfusions, but after the fall the nanos gave them abilities to survive, fangs to take blood, night vision to hunt and mental abilities to control humans. I think because the back story is so different from other vamps books is the reason I'm hooked.
